Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in a California Car Crash
The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California aged 55.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.
The renowned video game developer died after his car crashed and caught fire on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
