Ex- Doctor Charged with Sexual Assault Charges Involving Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities report that a former doctor stands accused of carrying out sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
These allegations follow what police described as a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
List of Offences
Prosecutors said the 45 charges include:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
